This duet between a father and a son tries a physical approach to the notions of paternal bond and filial love. Together they explore the figure of a father and that of a child. All that is left to do is to dance without making any additional fuss. White Gestures shows two persons who try to find precision in the imbalance of their powers, discover the desire to play with each other, coyly take a chance on tenderness. A dance where the image of one is but a reflection of the other, distorted in time and space.
Naïf Production creates live performances and collective adventures. It was founded by Sylvain, Mathieu and Lucien, the three acrobats who are trying to put the gravity of the world into dance, based on the singular relation their bodies and minds have with gravity. They create scenarios of images and gestures revolving around the themes of imbalance, resistance and effort, and focusing on physical engagement. The engagement that they try to expand beyond the stage. They undertake individual and collective initiatives, and try to operate on a cooperative basis. Each of their projects is an opportunity to reinvent new structures that can coexist and work together. A fragile space of frictions where deciding means neither managing nor owning.
