The residential stay of Kurt Demey and belgian company Rode Boom is planned from the 4th to the 10th of May in collaboration with Mala performerska scena.
In his recent works, Kurt Demey has used techniques from the world of illusionism and mentalism as an artistic palette.
In the new show ' Unknown Evidences ' Kurt explores how we make choices and how we can pour luck and chance in a structure, in a code. If we decipher the secret code of chance, then maybe predicting becomes like a child’s play... ?
In ' Unknown Evidences ' Kurt Demey and Joris Vanvinckenroye take the audience into a surreal and poetic world of puzzles where the magic increases with every piece of the puzzle that is deciphered. They start an artistic investigation into chances and choices. ‘Choices’ is a concept that we face every day. Rarely it is us, ourselves, who ultimately make our 'choices'. We are guided by chance, feelings or situations. We look to others. We do actually a lot to not have to choose.
