Residency in MDC: ARLETTE ROUGE, Lana Paić (FR)

At the first autumn residency, which we organized in collaboration with Mala performerska scena, we are hosting Lana Paić, a Croatian artist currently living in France.
Lana will be developing her idea for a project Arlette Rouge from 8th to 16th September. At the end of her stay (14th September) she will present work-in-progress material.
Arlette Rouge will be a solo performance in which the artist combines object manipulation, puppetry and juggling with strange objects like hatchets. The idea for Arlette Rouge is to become a non-verbal, abstract, dramatic, absurd and poetic comedy. Lana` artistic focus is aimed on two bodies - her own and the body of a puppet, subject and object. Four hands, four legs, two torsos and two heads. Maybe one entity. Their story in pieces.

Lana Paić is educated at the professional circus school Theatre Cirqule in Geneve. She is also educated in the field of clownery, juggling and dance. From 1999. she is a member of a French Company L’Estock Fish.
