OPEN WOUND
author and perfomer: Laura Aris Alvarez

Make the invisible visible
from the inside of a closed room, hidden from within from the ugly the most intimate from the unspoken from what you may not want even had a name.
The possibility to inhabit myself and from there become something new.
Open Wound is part of a series of solo-MicroActions. In her work, Laura develops an ongoing dialogue between contemporary dance, other artistic disciplines and spectators: she starts with the reflections on personal issues and transcends them from private spheres into the public and collective, creating evocative, moving images of great beauty and emotional power.
Laura Aris is a performer, choreographer and recognised international teacher. Her performing experience includes a decade as a formal member of the renowned Belgium dance Company Wim Vandekeybus/Ultima Vez.
